CRS: ‘Us Placers’

One of my favorite tracks off of Kanye West’s Can’t Tell Me Nothing Mixtape is “Us Placers” by CRS – Child Rebel Soldier, a group consisting of Lupe Fiasco (the Child) Kanye West (the Rebel), and Pharrell Williams (the Soldier). “Us Placers” samples Thom Yorke’s Eraser for one hell of a mash-up of sorts.
A few days ago a friend of mine brought my attention to a music video made by Va$htie for the single “Us Placers” and it’s great, simply great.
According to an interview with Lupe Fiasco, plans are in the works for the release of a CRS album in late 2008.
