It’s Sunday night and I’m a bit bored so surfed my way over to Rotten Tomatoes and I was suprised with what I found.
Rotten Tomatoes is celebrating its 8th Annual Golden Tomato Awards, which basically means the website has a list of the top reviewed movies of the year.
The best reviewed film (wide release) of 2006, according to Rotten Tomatoes, was Casino Royale with a 95% approval rating. Don’t get me wrong, I liked Casion Royale, but best film of the year? Come on. How did Casino Royale get a better rating than The Departed; or Borat; or The Descent; or V for Vendetta. I guess its all relative considering Talladega Nights got better reviews then Babel. It kind of makes you lose faith in the whole system, doesn’t it?
