Quick reviews: I Love You, Man + The Burrowers

I recently visited the theatre down the street to see I Love You, Man. It was very funny.  Like Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Knocked Up, etc. etc., I Love You, Man is great because of how well it explores (through laughs) male relationships. At the same time, any gal will love this flick — I Love You, Man is a chick flick that’s more about and for the guys.

9/10

Part two: The Burrowers. How did this one stay under the radar? It’s a horror flick set in the old west that is genuinely a ball of fun — think The Decent meets Tremors meets Tombstone. The Burrowers isn’t perfect, but it’s the best horror flick I’ve seen in a while and I don’t really like horror to begin with. Why did I like The Burrowers? It felt original and I’m down with that.

7.9/10

Thanks to the incredible chemistry of its two leads, I Love You, Man stands as one of the best buddy comedies since Swingers. Nice review, check out mine when you can!
