This is stupid

Apparently, Kristen Stewart (and, thus, Snow White) is being dropped from the Snow White/Huntsman sequel.  For someone who, yes, enjoyed the first in what is now a “series.” this is pathetic news.

The sequel will be all about the Huntsman, which is pretty damn lame. The reason? Drama. Weak sauce. Weak sauce.

The Campaign

The Campaign was pretty damn hilarious. It some ways it’s very basic in plot and structure, but that doesn’t really matter. What matters is that it stars Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, and they both hit the mark.
Additionally, the movie takes a direct swing at the Citizens United decision and the Koch brothers. In fact, the movie has upset the Koch brothers so much that this quite, conservative twosome did something rare and had their PR team release a statement. That’s a win. You can read a bit about it here:

Monday, Galifianakis gave an interview to the N.Y. Daily News about the movie, and used it to deride the Kochs. “They are creepy and there is no way around that. It’s not freedom what they are doing.”

The Koch organizations have responded to CNN, via a quote from spokesman Phil Ellender.

Last we checked, the movie is a comedy. Maybe more to the point is that it’s laughable to take political guidance or moral instruction from a guy who makes obscene gestures with a monkey on a bus in Bangkok. We disagree with his uninformed characterization of Koch and our beliefs. His comments, which appear to be based on false attacks made by our political opponents, demonstrate a lack of understanding of our longstanding support of individual freedom, freedom of expression, and constitutional rights.

If you’re up for an hour and a half of good laughs, check out this movie (it you’ll also help piss off the Koch brothers).

“New God Flow”

Yet another single from Kanye West entitled “New God Flow.” Listen below.

What’s up with the cast of “Workaholics” being on set (see third photo)? Awesome.

Samsara Trailer

Ever see Baraka? If not, definitely check it out.  It has some of the most beautiful time-lapse sequences I’ve ever seen.  Samsara is the long-awaited follow-up, so be sure to check out the recently released trailer below.  Also, don’t let the documentary classification steer you away, as that’s pretty misleading.

Zero Dark Thirty trailer

Not really sure what to make of this…
